Hi, I'm Makayla

I’m a product designer who builds digital experiences that solve real problems — not just look good. 

I value working on collaborative teams where I can both contribute and learn from others, while also being self-sufficient, often managing projects independently.

For more than three years, I’ve been responsible for designing products used by over 1700 employees and clients, serving multiple audiences with different goals and expectations. 

I manage end-to-end product design —from early discovery and workflow mapping to polished UI—while building design systems, refining complex logic, and partnering with engineers and leadership to bring ideas to life in a clear, practical way.

A love for art and making things started early. What began as a creative interest as a kid grew into a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design & Media Arts and later into a career in design.

A collaborative design culture that welcomes ideas, values creative thinking, and moves quickly to ship thoughtful digital products.

For me, the most rewarding design challenges to solve are the ones rooted in complexity, friction, and too much mental load. Turning them into clear, easy to follow experiences is where my work has the most impact.
